A gambling syndicate was bused in Singapore and police are searching for a Singapore Man in his 30´s. The syndicate operated out of a shopfront with bets amounting to RM9. This news comes as many folks are attempting to head off gambling syndicates throughout Singapore.

A gambling syndicate masterminded by a Singaporean and having dealt with bets amounting to RM9 mil over the past six months was busted in Taman Desa Cemerlang last Saturday.

Seri Alam police detained two local women aged 22 and 26, when they raided its operating den at a shophouse about 6pm.

Several fax machines, betting slips, computers and mobile phones were also seized.

Seri Alam police chief Supt Roslan Zainuddin said today that investigations revealed the syndicate dealt with bets four days a week.

Net Teller changing its name

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Net Teller the long time gambling payments processer is changing its name. Atleast according to my sources.

Neteller is well known all over the world for its high stakes battle with the Department of Justice of the USA soon after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act had came into force. In spite of the fact that Neteller has been one of the most trustworthy, reliable and widely used third party e-Wallet serving to transfer funds to and from internet casinos the outrageous and unfair persecution started by the DOJ is the event that caught most of the world’s attention and made the headlines.

This is the reason why Neteller has made a decision to change its name to Neovia Financial that nobody could associate it with the above mentioned events. Though Neteller has not officially stated that the reason to change the name was its case with the US DOJ, the rumor that is circulating inside the gambling and financial industries says that this is the reason indeed.

I have never seen a successful rebrand out of a failure but lets see how this goes. I wonder what will happen if they lose their case with the department of justice. They may be forced to close their doors regardless so a branding change won´t effect them at all.
